BECOMING A NEW MEMBER

New Members become Active Members of the JLB when the following requirements are met:

  • Participate in immersive New Member Course by attending all assigned meetings and social gatherings
  • Take on an active role in the team project portion of the course, intended to give new members the opportunity to work together and the training to see a project through to
    its completion
  • Attend a majority of General Membership Meetings (GMMs)
  • Meet with the Placement VP
  • Pay New Member Course Fee and Active Member Dues
    Fee schedule as follows:

Fall Class

One-time course fee $40
AJLI membership dues $43
JLB membership dues $112

Total $195; covers Sept-June 30 (majority of incoming fiscal year)

Spring Class

One-time course fee $40
AJLI membership dues $21.50
JLB membership dues $56

Total $117.50; covers February-June 30 (remaining portion of incoming fiscal year

Note: The JLB fiscal year is July1-June 30; all member renewal fees are due April 1 for the upcoming fiscal year. Hence, Spring New Member fees due dates coincide with the upcoming year’s membership fees due dates.

Every member pays approximately $3.60/month for AJLI
membership and $10/month for JLB membership
